In the era of sailing boats, Högsåra village had eleven pilothouses and a pilothouse on a high cliff, from where you could see the ships passing through the fairway in good time. Anders Alborg, who lives on the island of Högsåra, remembers this time well, who is from an old family of pilots from Högsåra and once steered boats into the harbor by himself. To honor the traditions of piloting, he designed and built this pilot boat a quarter of a century ago. Now the pilot boat has been brought back into production exactly as he originally made it: it is as purposeful and as easy to use as a pilot boat that had to be steered with one hand in stormy seas.
